Anis Gabi’s full performance from the 2023 Addis Jazz Festival is now available on the Muzikawi YouTube channel! Held at the Embassy of Sweden, the festival showcased Anis’s unique sound, featuring his single “Haadha Milkii,” along with classic tracks like his father Gabi Edao’s beloved song “Wal male Mal qabna” and the timeless hit “Gemechu” by Dr. Ali Birra.

The audience was captivated by Anis’s electrifying performance, singing and moving in unison. His jazz-infused Afaan Oromoo track “Haadha Milkii” perfectly complemented the festival’s theme, adding a fresh flavor to the event.

Anis made waves in the music scene with his debut single and music video “Haadha Milkii,” released in collaboration with Muzikawi at the end of 2022. The track, which he composed himself and rearranged with Jorga Mesfin, earned him the Best Composer award at the Hachalu Hundessa Award, along with nominations for Best Contemporary Song and Best Male Artist.

In April 2023, he released his second single and music video, “Koottumee,” again teaming up with Muzikawi.
